SOPHIE POLLOCK

CMLI BA (Hons) Landscape Architecture

Sophie is a Senior Landscape Architect with several years’ experience on a variety of landscapes and scales. Her recent work includes the new winery at Domaine Evremond, a large scale regenerative landscape and floodplain restoration in Sussex, an important listed garden around a boutique hotel, an Arts Centre in an historic riverside location and pro bono work for a therapeutic garden for a local hospital.

A talented artist and plantswoman Sophie is known for creating beautiful hand drawn axonometrics and sketches, designing layouts from labyrinths to amphitheatres, sophisticated planting schemes and sensitive ecological restoration.

Prior to retraining as a landscape architect Sophie worked around the world organising film premieres and as a stylist for architectural photographers, which honed her eye for creating beautiful landscapes.

In her spare time she can be found hedge laying and hill walking.

A talented artist and skilled plantswoman, Sophie retrained as a Landscape Architect at the University of Greenwich following a career as an exhibition and event designer for clients such as Bentley Motors, the V&A Museum, the BBC, Apple and other high profile confidential clients. Sophie has worked around the world organising film premieres and as a stylist for architectural photographers, which honed her eye for creating beautiful garden scenes before she did her degree.

Sophie has worked on many of our projects, including a Grade 2* Kent manor house, the New Classical style house at Buttermere Estate with Francis Terry Architects and Rye Riverfront Arts Centre with RX Architects. She is known for creating beautiful hand drawn axonometrics and sketches, designing layouts from labyrinths to amphitheatres and sophisticated planting schemes.

In her spare time she can be found hedge laying and hill walking.
