COURT LODGE

Like many of our projects our work at Court Lodge is on-going and has evolved over time. We began by re-designing the courtyard garden. Using local Kent ragstone and Breedon gravel we defined the space to provide a herb scented dining area, with raised beds that burst into colour in spring with Tulipa ‘Mariette’ followed by summer flowering herbaceous perennials and aromatic herbs.

We have re-graded the large lawn to the front of the house, creating an elegant entertaining space overlooking the valley. Graceful Yorkstone steps lead to the new Breedon gravel path which runs along a border of blues and yellows to an intimate corner guarded by a stone road runner in swathes of grasses – in recognition of our client’s links with Africa.
